Jinkfuin village is a community in the Belo Sub Division, Boyo Division of Cameroon with an estimation population of 4150 inhabitants (2018). The North West Highlands generally have an average attitude of 1100 metres. The village of Jinkfuin is rich in volcanic land suitable for agriculture (coffee, market gardeners, etc.). Its vegetation is less dense and its cool climate is favourable to the emergence of all kinds of activities.
Outside of the rainy season (usually from July to October), the Jinkfuin village offers, throughout the rest of the year, a climate conducive to travel. It is a mild and cool climate, with temperatures hovering around 22°C.
The village is fondly called Nseh Song (land of Songh), a great Bonteh (village head) who once ruled the village.
The village is ruled by a traditional ruler in a compound called Abae Minchum (compound of the Minchum masquerade- the drums juju). There are also four quarter heads namely at Twang-Jinkfuin, Ndongtu, Ntuyi and Ibalaboh Jinkfuin.
Education wise, there is the Baptist School at Ntuyi, the Catholic School at Twang Jinkfuin and Remedial College at Ndongtu. The Government Primary School at Jinkfuin no longer functions since the advent of the anglophone conflict in late 2016.
Jinkfuin village is blessed with the Grace and Truth Baptist Church Jinkfuin which saw its coming to life in 1967. The Catholic church at Twang Jinkfuin provides a space of worship to the catholic faithful. The catholic Christians are cooperating very well with the Baptist Church in the area.
There is a health unit at Jinkfuin although, highly effective, but lack accommodation.
The village hall building project has been initiated, but lacks the needed funds to carry through.
One of the major challenges the village has is lack of a stable potable water supply. There is pipe borne water, but most of the pipes are no longer flowing.
